In the Netherlands, sales organisations have spent millions on sales teams in recent decades. They put their money into sales training, technology, information and processes. Many of these investments are made to improve the effectiveness of sales. According to a recent sales enablement study by CSO Insights (2019), sales departments have been under pressure in this area for years. In fact, there is a serious sales effectiveness crisis.

Despite the many investments, sales effectiveness has now dropped to around 40 per cent. Acceptance in the area of sales processes has decreased, the use of CRM has declined and customer relations have not necessarily improved. Time for a radically different approach to sales effectiveness.
